Bilingual Weddings
If you are from a mixed or Hispanic family you might consider having your wedding in English and Spanish. A bilingual ceremony will honor and include everyone. Many people travel long distances with a deep desire to be a part of this important moment in your life. It is a generous and meaningful way to honor their presence.
Here is a sample of one of my ceremonies:

Reconozcamos y declaremos hoy publicamente el amor que ha crecido entre ustedes, y que ustedes ahora desean confiar sus vidas el uno al otro, en la union, esta union en matrimonio, que está confiada al amor, al crecimento, a la ayuda mutual y a la amistad.
This ancient ritual of marriage, contains within it a powerful intention which is: a supreme dedication to the development of each, through all of life's circumstances--a declaration of their devotion to each other. We recognize and declare publicly the love that has grown between you and that you now desire to dedicate your lives to one another and to this marriage, which is committed to love, growth, mutual support and friendship.
